Our micro brewery is located in Bienne, in Seeland (Switzerland). It is from this region that it takes its name « Brasserie Seelander ».
Currently we produce approximately 4 HL of beer per month on our 5 HL installation.
We have 4 beers in our catalog produced all year round.
We continue to explore various recipes to add to our catalog.
Brewing system
5 hectoliter Polsinelli brewing system heated by gas with central control.
Made up of a 500L motorized brewing tank, a 300L sparge tank, a 500L boiling tank as well as a 50L buffer tank.
Three pumps are also used for the various transfers, sparge and wirepool.
Fermentation
For fermentation we use two double-walled cylindrical-conical stainless steel tanks for all fermentation phases.
For temperature management we use a glycol chiller managed by a control panel connected to each fermenter.
All our beers are stored cold (15 degrees) for 15 days in order to refine the taste, then are refermented in bottles for 3 weeks.
The total duration of the beer production process takes at least 2 months before it can be consumed.
We have the possibility of having two types of beers fermenting simultaneously. Which allows us to produce 400 liters of beers per month (48 HL/year).
Bottling system
Semi-automatic bottling system with a capacity of 400 bottles per hour composed of a sugaring tank, a bottle rinsing system, a 4-spout filler, an electric capper as well as 'a roller labeler.
Material stock and raw materials
Small stock for small brewery…We can store raw materials for the production of 4 to 5 brews.
In addition to the raw materials, we have the equipment necessary for brewing, the grain mill, empty bottles as well as the finished beers in this room.
Technical Area
It is in this area that we installed the GAS cylinders, the Glycol refrigeration unit and the compressor.
The goal is to isolate these devices from the rest of the brewery, whether for safety reasons as well as for noise reasons.
Hygiene and cleanliness
As with any consumer product, hygiene and cleanliness of equipment, brewing infrastructure and fermenters are our priority.
We use cleaning and disinfection products intended for the food industry.
All the equipment used complies with European standards for the food industry, which guarantees a quality finished product that complies with current food standards.
